Cats International Cat Show
- Not for profit professional cat show held to help raise funds for
and encourage adoptions from the The Dutchess County SPCA,
other shelters and welfare organizations participating in the show.
- We thank the press, radio, television
and all the volunteers
and spectators that supported the
show. We could not have been able to bring it to you for as long
as we did, without their help
- In addition to litter, food and cat adoptions that occurred as a result of
the show we contributed over $13,700 in cash and equipment, to
various shelters and animal
welfare groups,
since the club was formed, over $1,200 to the New York City ASPCA Disaster Relief Fund for Pets left behind on
September 11th and $500 to the New York Animal
Medical Center. Over 400 homeless cats and kittens
from the various shelters and animal welfare groups who participated have been adopted at the
show since it's inception 9 years ago.

Valley Cats Charter
Purposes of club shall be:
- To sponsor and promote the welfare of all domestic breeds of cats.
- To present cat shows and/or educational functions to promote interest in
and knowledge of all domestic cats.
- To cultivate friendship among, and promote the interests of, owners,
breeders, and fanciers of domestic cats.
- To encourage breeding of purebred cats toward the TICA standard of
perfection, and to encourage the registration of cats with TICA.
- To promote kindness and encourage kindness to all animals, and assist in
the prevention of cruelty and maltreatment of animals.
- To encourage spaying and neutering of any and all cats not specifically
being used as part of a viable, humane, breeding program in order to reduce the excessive
trend toward the overpopulation of, and tragedy among, unwanted domestic cats.
