Daniel was voted one of Hudson Valley's best for 1997. He attended the HV magazine's fabulous celebration for the best in the Hudson Valley (restaurants,stores, people who made outstanding accomplishments). Daniel  was stroked and petted by hundreds of admirers as he stood on his designated table in his red collar trimmed with a gold metallic bow.

Top cat Daniel, a Norwegian Forest Cat owned by Linda & Bob Krall, has displayed his winning ways at shows as far flung as Seattle, Paris and Versailles. This fabulous furball is a Supreme Grand Champion, in the International Cat Association, a Grand Champion, (the highest honor) in the Cat Fanciers Association, a champion in Europe   and has amassed enough" bests" to be ranked fourth best cat in the world. Apparently, these accolades have not gone to Daniel's head. "He has a wonderful, sweet disposition and although he knows he's gorgeous, he's really not vain," says Linda Krall.  

Daniel had an illustrious show career. He had a wonderful trill when he spoke and he spoke often.  We loved him dearly.   We lost him and his father to complications from diabetes.  His littermate brother, Benjamin, is doing fine and never got diabetes.
