| It is so difficult to lose a pet at any age but especially when they are young. Bess was only 5. She was a wonderful mother and gave us so many beautiful kittens it hurts terribly to think of her and all of her sweet babies. Bess stopped eating in the middle of her J litter and we had to hand feed the kittens and force feed her. Luckily she began eating with no repercussions when the kittens began eating on their own. Recently she was intimidated by one of our other cats to the point where she ate infrequently and then just stopped. She was physically healthy and tested normal and negative for any virus but her liver was compromised this time. Although we tried to force feed her and give her the necessary fluids at the vets she was losing more weight. We lost her on December 4th of 2006. |
